Tips on Storing CBD Vape Cartridges

Like any natural component, CBD products (in any form) are subject to changes that affect its composition, consistency, effectiveness, etc. The biggest enemies of this compound are heat, air, humidity, and sunlight. The cold doesn’t change CBD’s molecular structure, but it’s still not recommended to keep vape cartridges in the fridge.

Heating while vaping differs from smoking cannabidiol, as described below:

Containers used in vape pens can be disposable or refillable. Which of these two pays off for you depends on how often you use them. What should be kept in mind is that the content of these small containers is CBD-based. So treat these elements as CBD oil. It means that you must adhere to specific rules regarding storing these products.

Shelf Storage

Cannabidiol is effective as long as its molecular structure is stable. If some changes occur, this component loses effectiveness. That will happen if you expose the CBD cartridge to heat or sunlight.

In order to keep the consistency and potency of the vape cartridge contents, it’s necessary to store them in places where light doesn’t reach. Also, make sure that it’s not too hot in these spots (often the case with open counters in the kitchen) or too humid (can happen in the bathroom).

It is recommended to store cartridges in closed cabinets, but not on the upper shelves because it is too warm. Still, don’t leave these things on the lower partitions either, because kids and pets can find them. Although CBD is a safe, natural remedy, it shouldn’t be used by anyone under the legal age for that.

If you need to keep vaping equipment and filling low, store them in locked cabinets. It is best to keep everything at eye level, away from direct heat and airflow sources, and curious youngsters. Compartments in cars, basement, or attic are not a good idea to store this gear because all elements can get there.

Don’t Freeze Cartridges

If you look for more vape information, you’ll see that content of vape cartridges, like pure CBD oil, tolerates low temperatures well. The molecular structure remains intact. Still, it’s not advisable to keep vaping equipment in the fridge, especially if it’s made of plastic.

The problem can be in condensation, i.e., in creating moisture inside the plastic containers. That is what will spoil the content, not the cold. Also, plastic containers can crack due to frequent temperature changes, which can cause CBD content to leak.

Keep Cartridges from Breaking

Because vape pens are easy to use and practical to carry, many users keep them in their pockets or bags. If you have padding cases for vaping gear, that is good because your pen and container with CBD content will be safe. But if you carry them separately, that can be a problem.

Plastic containers can crack easily, while metal or those made of pyrex will be scratched. You should prevent this by storing the vape pen and add-ons in the storage area already described. Remove the cartridge whenever you don’t inhale CBD. Place it upright, and do the same with the mouthpiece. This way, you keep the filling from getting stuck in the openings and causing clogs.

Prevent Clogs

Filling inside vape cartridges are mostly made of quality CBD oil (provided you buy only recognized, top-shelf brands). It must contain certain additives or thinning agents. These are necessary for the oil to heat up and evaporate better. There may be various flavorings, but they don’t change the consistency of the cartridge contents.

Substances such as honey, coconut oil, or glycerin can affect the containers to seal. These clogs can make a cartridge unusable, but only if you don’t store this gear appropriately. If the content is slightly jammed and prevents heating and mist creation, you just have to roll the cartridge between palms to warm it up.

Since CBD products are in high demand, manufacturers find various ways to be better than the competition. If you know when the sales are, you can run on pretty good deals and discounts. If you use these chances regularly, you probably have more CBD products at home than you need. Keep in mind that unopened cartridges can last up to two years. Still, there’s no need to stockpile when vape gear is relatively affordable.
