Oyo TESCOM To Release Additional 1,000 Names Of Successful Applicants

The teaching recruitment conducted under the regime of the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde was hailed by all and sundry as a free and fair process which involve adopting the magic wand of Selection by merit at the CBT and thorough oral interview that snowballed in selection of quality teachers into teaching service of Oyo state.

Mr Governor, a hearty congratulations is due on this great feat that had the likes of UNESCO and other academic bodies adjudging the process as thorough.

In the coming years, Oyo State will experience a turnaround due to this positive impact in the academic sector. A big kudos to your Excellency as we are sure that many other State will soon come to learn from Oyo State – the Pacesetter on how recruitment can be conducted with ease.

However, it is imperative to bring to the notice of our amiable Governor the high handedness and the draconic style of leadership of the executive Chairman of TESCOM, Pastor AKINADE ALAMU. We have discovered that there is no particular selection protocol for the selection of non-teaching applicants despite organising interview for the candidates

Mr Governor, Sir, it will also interest you to know that the Chairman has singlehandedly jettisoned the interview scores for the Non-Teaching Applicants and his domineering tendencies has succeeded in arm twisting the board members and the office of the permanent secretary.

Although the permanent Secretary of TESCOM, Mrs Grace Oderinde is a very courageous and accountable individual. Her efforts however are usually rebuffed by the Executive Chairman.

We believe that the process will be better driven by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Grace Oderinde who is known for her strict disciplinarian personality and character of fairness and equity. She has been tested and proved to be upright on all grounds. Also, as a former School Administrator, She will be able to recruit the most eligible applicant to the available vacancies in the school’s administration.

Your Excellency, we are hoping you will look into this issue and the Chairman called to order not to destroy the trust of the citizens of Oyo state in the integrity of the public office holders. We also hope he will stop granting media interviews giving false hope to the applicants who are earnestly awaiting the good news of recruitment solely on merit.

At this junction, having explored all known legal means, we implore the Governor as our only hope to demand for the selection criteria employed by the Executive Chairman in the recruitment of the NON-TEACHING APPLICANTS.

The Government of Oyo state can not afford to allow the Chairman to bring the Government of Oyo State known for its uprightness to disrepute.

We will like to also bring to your notice that the applicants have a well-coordinated Facebook account tagged TESCOM. We will appreciate a fast and decisive action taken on this issue, Sir.
