The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 36-year old mechanic, Musiliu Owolabi, for allegedly killing his woman-friend. The police also alleged that the father of three buried the corpse at a vacant plot of land behind his house.
On interrogation, the suspect said the woman identified as Azeezat called him on 1 February and he asked her to meet him at a camp near his house.
“She called me on 1 February to know my whereabouts and I told her to meet me at a camp near my house. After 30 minutes, she arrived and we went to a hotel to relax.”
“At the hotel, we were about to have $ex when she complained of feeling dizzy and I told her to go outside but she made the same complaint outside and and someone advised that I take her to the hospital.
“On the way to the hospital, she died. I was afraid and didn’t know what to do so I buried her in a new plot of land that has not been leveled behind my house in Gbagba area, Abeokuta,” he narrated.
The Ogun State Commissioner of Police Ahmed Illiyasu revealed that Owolabi was arrested through intelligence when a man who claimed to be Azeezat’s brother reported the matter to the police.
