ESPN reports that Jurgen Klopp is keen on landing the Spaniard, although it appears that they are not the only ones in the race to sign him, according to Llorente’s agent.
“I have received many calls since Anfield for Marcos Llorente,” his agent Julio Llorente told radio station Cadena Ser.
“Marcos and I have always talked about this, and he wants to stay, so there is not much else to do. The last call I received was in May, and it was not from Spain.”
Llorente, who made his international debut last month against the Netherlands, has made over 50 appearances for Diego Simeone’s side since joining from city rivals Real Madrid in 2019, and has scored five goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances this campaign.
