Kevin Tobena Obunwo popularly known by his stage name Tobi Ken was born into the family of Mr and Mrs John Obunwo at Elele in Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State, Nigeria on the 14th February, 1995.
He grew up at Elele Barracks with his late military dad and family where he received his primary school education at our Saviour Nursery and Primary School. Then he moved to the state capital to complete his secondary school education at Community Secondary School Mgbosimini Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Currently Tobi Ken is studying Civil Engineering at Rivers State Polytechnic (RIVPOLY).
Tobi Ken music career started at an early age by playing drums in church at the age of fifteen but had his first studio experience in 2011 when he recorded a song titled “Celebrate” he also worked with some of the Port Harcourt’s top music producer like Akim Da Beat, Waleki and more others but started singing professionally in 2012.
When he released his street anthem “High Tension” in 2012 he started gaining audience. He draws his major inspiration from the likes of 2face and sound sultan.
