Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has informed Manchester United that they must wait another six months to discuss a potential deal for Paulo Dybala.

The 21-year-old striker has seen his stock rise considerably this season after banging in nine goals for the Rosanero in 17 Serie A appearances.

Dybala was purchased for just £9 million from Instituto back in his homeland in 2012, but Zamparini values the Argentine over three times that amount following his exploits this term.

The Red Devils have made contact with Zamparini in a bid to acquire his prized asset’s services this month, but the Palermo supremo has put off all negotiations until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

He toldRadio Due: “Dybala is worth over 40 million euros [31 million pounds] but I won’t sell him until June.

“Many foreign clubs asked after him, including Manchester United. I told the English side that he is not for sale right now, but we can talk about it again in six months.

“In my view, he is the best striker in Europe at the moment.”
