Though Ameobi may be ageing, Pardew is seen as the perfect manager that could bring the best of the Nigerian striker who was part of the Super Eagles squad to the last World Cup in Brazil.

A winning start for Ameobi will be good for Palace as thatwill take the team further away from the relegation zone.
