The Organization of Beauty pageants on campuses in Nigeria has been an
issue of importance since the early 70s, with the most beautiful and
brilliant girls made to compete for the coveted crown of their Polytechnics
to become the official Queens of their Polytechnics. However, there has
never been a national event that brought together those Queens in a
competition to select an overall queen (a National Polytechnic queen).
Thus, Catchy Modeling Agency & Entertainment came up with the innovative idea to organize
an inter-polytechnic Contest comprising all Nigerian Polytechnic Students
to compete for the Only Crown “Miss Polytechnic Nigeria”. The winner of
this event becomes the Official National Polytechnic Queen “Miss
Polytechnic Nigeria”, an ambassador for Breast cancer, sickle cell disease
and beauties with brain, earning the opportunity to represent Nigerian
Polytechnics in Miss Polytechnic Africa International.
The raison d’être of MPN is to discover Beauties with brain (intelligence over looks), an ambassador
for Breast cancer, sickle cell that will go to all polytechnics in Nigeria
for awareness/campaign of this disease to fellow students, unify
polytechnics students/Youths in Nigeria, promote Nigerian culture, respect
and good relationships between students on campuses as well as with society at large.
Furthermore, MPN aims to increase the standard of beauty pageants in Nigeria taking it to a standard that is recognized globally and also running a campaign on Breast cancer and sickle cell.
Our target audience are all students in Nigeria Polytechnics both Federal and private nationwide.
MPN as it is fondly referred to, which comprises all Nigerian Polytechnics,
stands out to be the most recognized and accepted beauty pageant that
connects and unites both Nigerian student’s community and the wider
community across Nigeria and reach out to the grassroots.
