Sarkodie has urged Ghanaian musicians to be proud of doing music in their local language.
Speaking in an interview with Hemah K, the BET red carpet host, he said even though he raps in the native language he has been able to win several international awards, which shows that language is not a barrier when it comes to music.
According to him, he has not been limited to the Twi language he uses in his music and has therefore urged all artists who sing or rap in their native language to reinforce it.
Sarkodie, last week, won the Best International Flow Award at the BET Hip Hop Award 2019.
