Her passing was confirmed by the Brantley County Middle School in a Facebook post that read:
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of one of our BCMS students, Kylie Burgess.
Kylie was a precious young lady at BCMS that was in the 8th grade. Her smile would light up the school! She will truly be missed by all of us here at BCMS!
We send our most sincere condolences to Kylie’s family and friends. Please keep Kylie’s family, friends, teachers, and school in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
