Ex Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Munirat ‘Antoinette known as Antolecky, has disclose how living in Nigeria frustrated her so much
According to the reality star and actress, who relocated to Nigeria, from the United States, Nigeria is far from easy as there are somethings that have constantly frustrated her.
“Nigeria is far from easy. Every day is a learning experience and I’ve been here for almost four years. I think I have been able to acclimatise quite easily because my parents told us a lot about Nigeria while we were growing up. However, there are some things I would never be used to because of my upbringing; those things would constantly frustrate me. I still don’t know why we don’t have constant electricity, or better roads and transportation. I think I have the same issues as a natural born Nigerian. I just had to learn how to live in Nigeria much faster.”
And on her journey into becoming an actress, Anto said, “Movie sets are interesting. One has to learn on one’s feet. While learning one’s lines, one gets to see what other members of the crew are doing as well. I recently appeared in my first lead role in a movie titled, May 29. It was the longest time I had spent on a movie set, so I got to see a lot of things. Being on set has made me want to act more for both film and stage, and also branch into script writing, directing, and producing.”
She also talked about her high and lows in 2019, “In my personal life, it reminded me that I’m a fighter and survivor. Professionally, it was great. I was able to make a headway in the entertainment industry with more acting roles and brand influencing gigs, while also engaging in philanthropic and educational activities.”
