unnamed(24) If you haven’t heard by now everybody’s favorite DJ, DJ Obi, is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Club DJing. He’s DJing for 24 hours straight for 10 days as he attempts to break the current record, which was set in Dublin, Ireland in 2014, and stands at eight days. At 11:30p.m. on Monday, June 27th DJ Obi would have hit the five-day mark.
What’s it like to DJ for 24 hours a day? Let’s just say it involves swollen feet, rising blood pressure, lots of Vitamin C and much needed love from your family, friends and fans. Not to worry, doctors are keeping a close eye on DJ Obi’s health as the days go on.
Among the supporters who have stopped by in the past two days are Olamide, DJ Eni Money, Yung 6ix, Ycee, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Adekunle Gold, Phyno Iceberg Slim, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olu Maintain, Beat FM’s Douglas and Gbemi, Boj, Teezee, 24’s Tayo, Toke Makinwa, DJ Caise, MI, Sasha, Noble Igwe, Shaydee and Ebuka. It’s been an endless stream of supporters but we still need you, yes you! If you haven’t already stopped by, make sure to make your way to Sao Cafe in Lekki, and as always, if you can’t make it in, send us some love on social media. Come witness history. We’re halfway there!
