One Frank Ochuko, a student of the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-oghara, in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, has been brutally murdered by unknown assailants suspected to be cultists on January 30.
The Delta State Police Command spokesperson DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the incident on Sunday 31 January, said the student was ambushed by four men carrying axes and other dangerous weapons, while he was returning from the school’s staff quarters where he went to resolve an issue with one lecturer.
His girlfriend who had witnessed the attack rushed to report the incident to the nearby police station, and he was subsequently taken to the hospital where the doctor confirmed that he was already dead.
