Yoruba-connect- a Division of HIM Entertainments- is a youth forum that gives youths a platform to grow in and within the society. The vision of the platform is to help Yoruba youths around the world come together to build their cultural life in different dynamics. They are also keen on the growth of youth believing that one day “Young shall grow”. The forum also dissipates news and gists from the Southwestern states of Nigeria and news about Yoruba people around the world using the closest social media. The need for this is to preserve the Yoruba ways and cultures for the coming generations as it is an obvious fact that the cultures left behind by our forefathers are gradually fading away. This is one reason that has brought about this event themed; ‘Runway Rhapsody’ (Invasion of Ankara stylez in da heart of Ibadan) {Probably the Biggest Ankara Fashion show in Oyo State} Runway Rhapsody is Yorubaconnect’s own way of expressing enthusiastic and ecstatic love for culture by making the Fashion show Runway,one that is filled with symbols and representations of our culture and inculcating them into the modern realm. Therefore Runway Rhapsody will feature a fashion show where ankara will be reuniting with modernity, expressed in dresses of the sort by various fashion designers.

15 Designers will be exhibiting their designs of corporate and casual dresses with Ankara fabrics. Where three (3) designers will be awarded as best designer in Ibadan and all designs will be featured in the Celebrity Int’l Magazine, Gee Magazine and more Fashion Magazines. They’ll also be featured on more than 20 social websites.
