Afro Soul Diva and First Lady of Alterplate Records, Lami Phillips has released the stunning visuals to her latest single “So Amazing” featuring Mavins first lady Tiwa Savage. The song, which has a message bursting with energy and optimism, is currently enjoying heavy rotation on radio and online following Lami Phillips’ much-publicised joining of Harrysong’s Alterplate record label last month.
Featuring the visual directing skills of Clarence Peters, the video displays Lami Phillips in a way she has seldom been seen before, crackling with joy and confidence as she addresses the world with her message of victory: “I’m feeling free, ain’t nobody gonna get to me or better me/ I’m feeling like I’m superwoman I can fly, higher than the limits in my mind.”
Tiwa Savage adds her usual sultriness to the visuals, creating a delightful contrast between Lami’s energy and her $exy, laid back appeal. While Lami projects a message about overcoming the odds in her path and experiencing transformation, incorporating a surprisingly good rap solo, Tiwa’s lyrics tell of an artiste who is at the top of her game and does not allow other people’s opinions to influence her view of herself.
