The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN), has congratulated President-elect, Gen Mohammadu Buhari (Rtd) on emerging victorious in last weekend’s presidential election, admitting that emergence of the All Progressive Congress (APC) president-elect was an act of God.

While hinging his victory on his resilience and doggedness, during a press conference in Abuja, the National Coordinator of the campaign organisation c*m Non-Governmental Organisation, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, appealed to all Nigerians to accept the outcome of the election as the will of God for Nigerians and lovers of democracy.

According to him: “The much debated presidential election of 2015 has come and gone. Many people predicted violence. Other people and institutions posted that it will mark the beginning of the end of the entity called, Nigeria. To the glory of God, the election has come and gone without the expectations of doomsday soothsayers coming to pass.

“We of the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) express our gratitude to God and Nigerians. We appeal to all Nigerians to accept the outcome of the presidential election as the will of God, Nigerians and lovers of democracy. The 2015 presidential election has proven that democracy has come to stay in Nigeria.

“We wish to congratulate the President-elect, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari (Rtd.) on his consistency, persistence, doggedness and resilience since 2003 in his quest for the presidency of Nigeria. This shows that persistence on a mission yields success in the end. His courage will make a good case Study in the Universities all over the world,” Ubah noted.

He equally commended President Goodluck Jonathan for laying the most solid foundation for the growth of democracy in Nigeria and Africa with his states-manly act of conceding defeat.
