Lagos State University Rewards Its Top Students With N4m For Making 4.5 Cumulative Grade Point

The Lagos State University have reportedly gifted 160 students of the institution with a total of N4 million. The students were rewarded for making 4.5 Cumulative Grade Point Average and above during the 2015/2016 academic session.‎

The Vice Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, presented the cheques to them on behalf of the school management on Friday, June 17, at the Ojo Campus.

While presenting N25,000 to each student, the VC congratulated them and urged them not to relent their efforts.

He said:-

“We are proud of you, but you must work harder to sustain the grade. Do not relent in your efforts because you were celebrated today.”

The Vice-Chancellor also urged the other students to work harder “to join the success train ‎so that they will also be rewarded.”

Dean of Students Affairs at the institution, Dr. Olufemi Obayori‎ also gave words of encouragement. He said: “To the generality of students here, it is never too late to join the ranks of the chosen. It is possible. You can do it.”

Of the 160 students, 35 were from College of Medicine, another 35 from Faculty of Management Sciences, 32 from Faculty of Social Sciences and 34 from Faculty of Science. Thirteen students were from the Faculty of Education, nine from Faculty of Engineering and two from Faculty of Arts.

– Only two from Arts? Na olodo dey plenty for Arts sha…Lol!
