Contrary to reports making the rounds in some quarters that bereaved veteran Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko, who lost his wife, Henrietta just some days back, may have had a hand in her death, the thespian has dropped a shocking revelation about his position on her death.
Speaking at a wake-keep service organised for Henrietta, Jide Kosoko gave a very moving speech and brought people even much closer to tears when he revealed that he wished he were the one dead and his wife was the one having to talk at his wake keep instead of the other way round since he is far older than she was.
“First, I want to express my appreciation God for his mercies, for taking her at a time that pleases him, as man is flesh, we have nothing to say. I have nothing to say. Total submission to the will of almighty God, even though as her husband one would have loved that one leaves people like her behind, she should be the one doing this cos I’m far older than her, but it pleases God but what we had in our minds was for her to live till a very ripe age.”
The wake keep service for the well-known Nollywood actress held yesterday and apart from her husband, Jide Kosoko and her four children, the event was attended by close friends, family and members of the Nigerian movie community.
