Khan Bonfils, the British actor and performer who featured in the James Bond movie Skyfall is dead. He also starred in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, in the year 1999 as Jedi Master. The  actor collapsed while rehearsing for the upcoming theatre production Dante’s  Inferno which was due to open at The Rag Factory in east London this week.

Paramedics and members of the Craft Theatre Company, the production company to which Khal belonged, fought so hard to resurrect him, but he couldn’t be saved. Chris Hislop, the company’s spokesman, said: “Kan collapsed during a rehearsal and the director Rocky Rodriguez Jr, he performed CPR on location.

A statement from Craft Theatre said: “With great sadness, we announce the death of Khan Bonfils. His sudden loss is a tragedy and he will be sorely missed.” The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained, Chris said.  “The entire company are in shock. There is absolutely severe sadness, it is a real tragedy. I think they are holding it together by talking it through and by being there for each other.” He also added that the production was due to open on Thursday. “If things go to plan and if the incoming actor is able to do the job we are hoping to open on Saturday.”

His other film credits are: Lara croft’s Tomb Raider 2, Batman Begins, Tomorrow Never Dies, Bodyarmor (2007) and Traveller (2013).

Bonfils also had a brief modelling career, before starting acting, modelling for Michiko Koshino, Hermes, Ozwald Boateng and more.
