My name is Gerrard Menon (Half Sry Lankan – Half Philippine) and Artist-Stage name is Menon. Most of my life is being spent in Dubai where the diversity of night life inspired me to be involved in music. The age of 17, i developed an interest for making rap music, which took off from there. Now, at age 22, I find myself as one of the major lyrical forces in the region. Being highly confident on performance and with a very strong connection to the audience I make sure that each and every one of the shows are not to be forgotten. I go by the name Of Hash, my original name is Hisham Hamdan. Growing up in Dubai gave me a great expanding experience in my life. I’m half Lebanese half Sudanese. At the age of 16-17, I started getting into the Hip-Hop scene. I started listening to artists like Jeezy, Eminem, Jay-Z, Pac, Biggie, Big Pun, Nas, Busta, etc. As soon as I heard the Jeezy track standing ovation, I remember, I wrote a song on that very beat. What a classy beat all in all, I fell in love with music ever since. Started rapping to my cousins, then started battling my friends. I remember I got booed by a friend of mine in high school, hahaha, my flow was still under construction back then. I been taking rap as a passion and serious for about 9 years now, Im 26 now and ever since then well, it was music for me, regardless. Currently working with Boss Lady Productions, Paula Hall, CEO.
