A 27-year-old woman named Folashade Sodiya, stabbed her husband, Jude Igbinedor, 39, to death after a heated argument over money.
The incident was said to have happened at about 2 a.m. last week Wednesday, November 12, 2014 on TK Balogun Street, Igbo Olomu, Ishawo in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
Though no one can tell what really transpired between the couple, it was gathered that she had asked him for money to offset her bill but he declined.
According to Folashade, her husband always gave her the impression he did her a favour by letting her have his child.
She said he was the first to attack her and she was only holding the knife to scare him but he rushed at her and the knife entered his chest. He died on the spot.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, however, said the case had been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
