6 Things You Have To Do To Succeed In Nigeria Entertainment Industry

The Nigerian music industry is getting harder and harder every day and the competition is increasing seriously. But if you’re smart and wise you don’t have to worry about your competitors, just do your thing and watch yourself blow like Fire!

The Nigeria music industry has become an attractive option for music artists and fans alike. However, there are a few things that every musician should know about the Nigerian music industry before they jump into the music business.

There are many misconceptions about the Nigerian music industry. People believe that it is difficult to break into the industry since it requires so much money to make it in, and that there are no opportunities in the music business. While these can certainly be true, there are plenty of opportunities in Nigeria today.

The first thing to understand is that there are plenty of jobs available in the music industry today. In fact, there are many jobs in the music business in Nigeria that it has become difficult to keep track of the opportunities. Think of all the famous personalities in Nigeria that have made their name in the industry, like Nickdog. The more you learn about the music business the more options you will have.

But the problem is that so many people have been in the entertainment industry for many years without blowing oo, so it doesn’t matter how many years you spend in the music industry but what you achieved within the years. For example, “Black Faze” was in the music industry before “Ycee” “Mayorkun” “Dremo” but these guys are making more wave than Faze in the entertainment industry.

So I will be giving you some Tips I got and some Tips Naijaloaded’s Makinde Shared. Make sure you follow these steps. Unless you want to be in the music industry like Mungo Park Without blowing. L O L

  1. Have A Good Manager/Management
A good manager/management makes a good artiste, believe it or not. If your management is not the hustling type, my brother you will continue being an upcoming till you die.
Take a look at Davido’s Management Twenty Twenty Media owned by Kamal Ajiboye(sorry didn’t get the correct spelling) as I was saying why Davido has blown today is because of his management. So brother and sister Start Packing and running from your management if they re not bringing shows or anything good for you.

That said, here are other compelling reasons for you to strive to be under the care of a good manager:

  • Your manager is your partner in improving yourself so you can bring yourself faster towards the road to career advancement.
  • A manager can help you communicate any of the expectations you might have in your forthcoming career, especially when you’re still new in the industry and you don’t have that much knowledge and connections yet.
  • A manager gives you all the guidance and assistance you’ll need as you navigate through the music industry.

2.Be Unique (Different) from Others.
One thing that’s often misunderstood about the Nigeria music industry is that it’s difficult to break into the industry. While there are certainly some barriers to entering the industry, there are still plenty of ways for budding musicians to start earning money. There are plenty of music schools and mentoring programs that are available today. These schools teach the basics of music composition and allow aspiring musicians to begin working on their music careers.

However, do remember too, that Nigerians want something new and different from what they have been hearing.
So if you’re reading this try and do something new for Nigerians and you will win their minds to your song. Adekunle Gold came out with something new and he blew like a rocket within two years he joined YBNL.

3.Hype And Publicity.
So many artists want to just blow today today. Yes, it’s very possible, but some re not willing to bring out money to promote themselves. You pay the biggest producer in Nigeria to produce your song after you re broke and don’t have money to hype or promote it. Your producer doesn’t matter. Ask Ola Dips and he will tell you his producer I knew was Demmie vie, but he has blown now and with Reminisce LRR/EDGE RECORDS
On Naijaolofofo.com we have over 200,000 audience that we would show your song to in Nigeria. We assure you this.

4.Feature An A List Artiste.
If your management hasn’t told you anything like this before, trying telling them yourself.
Feature that A list artiste so people can hear your name and when next you drop a song people can download your song because you already won their mind with your first Hit when you featured that A list artiste. Humble Smith featured Phyno and Davido in osinachi and Ycee featured olamide in Jagaban and they won the minds of nigeria and made name, so try doing this.

5. Build A Fan Base.
Every artiste should try to build a fan base first of all, make people know you and know what you do so they can help support you, because without your fans you’re going nowhere My brother.
So if you’ve got no fan base by now you’re reading this, try and start getting because they will be always there for you and always treat them right.

6. Pray And Work Hard
I put this point last so it would go deep down in your mind because we re lacking this two.
Prayer and hard work come together, so if you pray and you don’t work, my friend you will automatically turn to a man of God. After praying move into that studio and record that Dope Shit and Upload it to The World On Naijaolofofo.com and see what God will do for you.
Thanks for reading this and make sure you abide through these guidelines.
